Visitors who get a chance to attend one of the annual events in Prince George will find that this not only adds to the fun of their trip but that it also gives them a bit of a sense of the local modern culture of the area.  Some of the choices for events to attend include:

  • Atlantic Lobster Dinner – On May 25th, $40 per ticket. Tickets at Nancy O's on 3rd Ave or contact Ursula at, 250.563.5584, or 250.613.5867. Enjoy a good cause!
  • MCC Fall Fair – The Prince George Civic Center turns in to a free-admission fair benefiting the Mennonite Central Committee's international projects and local Mennonite church projects each September.  You can buy fresh baked goods, local crafts, international fair trade crafts from Ten Thousand Villages, and traditional Mennonite farmers' sausage and borscht. There is also a produce sale and a garage sale.
  • Prince George Farmer’s Market – This is a summer event (May - October) only and travelers in the area at this time shouldn’t miss out on it.  It takes place in Wilson Square, Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
