Enjoy stunning scenery at your own pace. You can easily rent Stand Up paddle boards, canoes, pedal boats and kayaks (single or double kayaks), at hourly rates at Lakeside Park or Wayside Park on Alta Lake (approx. $35.00 per hour per canoe/double kayak). Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch, sunscreen and a blanket and paddle up to a quiet beach side location around the lake! This is an inexpensive way to enjoy an afternoon! You can get to Alta Lake by biking (10 mintues) or walking (30 minutes) along the Whistler Valley Trail or drive approx 3-5 minutes south from Whistler Village.
The River of Golden Dreams is a very popular summer paddle. There are no rapids but the twists and turns of the river keep it exciting. Great views in a natural setting. Watch out for beaver, there are lots to be seen
