If you are in London in June you must see Trooping the Colour (click here for the TripAdvisor page) when the Queen reviews her regiments.  You can stand along the roadside and watch this most magnificent parade of horses and carriages and see the Queen, and even the Princes.  You may be fortunate enough to win a lottery ticket to go inside the Horse Guards where you can be much closer to this fantastic pageant.

If you can not manage to get to the full Trooping the Colour there are 2 dress rehearals the 2 preceding Saturdays. Everything as the full one except the crowds and the Queen.

NOTE The Royal Mews is closed on these days (and all days when there is a state visit) so you can not go there after The Trooping the Colour.
