The Queen Victoria Memorial Statue is located opposite the front of Buckingham Palace. It was unveiled by George V in 1911.
Sculpted by Thomas Brock, the 2,300 ton marble memorial to honor England's longest reigning monarch contains several statues. Queen Victoria's statue faces the Mall. Others represent Justice, Truth, & Charity. On top of the memorial is a golden statue of Victory with two seated figures.
It is a popular spot to view the changing of the guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
