For the die-hard Beatles fan, visiting Abbey Road is a must!
MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE RIGHT 'ABBEY ROAD' THOUGH!
In August 2011 the Docklands Light Railway opened a new line between Stratford and Canning Town and named one of the stations 'Abbey Road'. This station now appears on tube maps and journey planners and can fool unwary tourists who think it is the Abbey Road associated with the Beatles.
IT IS NOT!
The Abbey Road you want is in St John's Wood, London NW8. The Studios are at no. 3 Abbey Road, the southern end of the road close to the junction with Grove End Road - for journey planners, the postcode is NW8 9AY.
By Underground, the nearest Station is St. John's Wood (Jubilee Line), then walk along Grove End Road to Abbey Road.
By bus - 139 or 189 from the West End, alight at the 'Abbey Road / Grove End Lane' stop.
Drivers will patiently wait for your friends to take your picture as you cross!
