If you’re an adventurer in withdrawal from your outdoor activities while on vacation, look up Peak Activities, which is one of those team-building type places that on weekends offers activities for individuals and couples.
Into sailing? Nottingham has an active sailing club and you just might arrive in time for a lesson or two. Otherwise, consult their web site for sailing schedules and other events. In the summer in particular there’s a full calendar of events. There’s also a Nottingham Boat and Rowing Club where you can enjoy watching others or getting yourself in the water.
If you’re a walker or hiker, consider heading to University Park, where you can freely roam and enjoy the outdoors for a bit before returning to your sightseeing and museum hopping.
If you like the water why not try Scuba Diving at Dive in the Blue, a PADI diving company, which is based in Nottingham! They do Discover Scuba Dives (DSD), which are 3 hour tasters in a variety of local pools! They also do other diving courses if interested please get in contact with Dive in the Blue them.
Nottingham is amazing for skateboarding these days. The council have done a fantastic job of creating some of the best skateparks in the country. There are have tons of new skateparks all around the city as well as loads of great street spots. If you want advice on where to go in the city pop into Forty Two skate shop on Victoria Street. The guys who own it skate and have lived in Nottingham for years and can help you out. They're working on an online skate park locator for their website which will list all of the parks.
