In a survey undertaken in October 2010 an unprecedented 98% of visitors to Stratford upon Avon thought the town was safe.

The local MP Nadhim Zahawi commissioned a survey at the end of October 2010 asking visitors what they thought about the town, where they came from, what they liked, disliked etc. While this included a lot of useful information for the local businesses and the tourist industry in particular,  one of the main findings was that 93% thought the town was clean and tidy and an unprecedented 98% of those asked felt safe in the town.
