Aberdeen Airport website:

Aberdeen Airport is located at Dyce to the west of the city, just off the A96 to Inverness.  The airport code is ABZ. There is a bus link to Dyce railway station (on the Aberdeen-Inverness line). Taxies are available at the airport (sometimes with long waits) - a taxi fare to the city centre is under £20.  There are car rentals agencies connected to the airport by a covered walkway. There are a number of international flights to the city; BA, BMI, Ryanair, Eastern Airways and Easyjet run flights from UK and Ireland.

Express bus 727 (operated by Stagecoach Bluebird) will start on 16th August 2010 directly linking Aberdeen city centre with Aberdeen Airport every half hour. There is also the less frequent route 27 operated by First Aberdeen buses.

Aberdeen railway station is in the heart of the city centre. Most trains are operated by ScotRail, including hourly services to Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley. There are also services to Inverness via Elgin. ScotRail also operates the overnight Caledonian Sleeper service to/from London Euston. East Coast operates a direct daytime service to London King's Cross (via Edinburgh, Newcastle and York) several times per day.

NorthLink operates ferries to Shetland and Orkney from Aberdeen.

The A90 road from the south is dual carriageway the entire way between Aberdeen to Perth. South of Perth it is the M90 Motorway to/from Edinburgh or the A9 to/from Glasgow. Aberdeen is awaiting news of a peripheral route which should ease congestion in the city. The A96 from Aberdeen to Inverness is notorious for accidents on its single carriageway sections.

There are long distance coaches to/from Aberdeen operated by National Express, Scottish Citylink and others. The main local bus operators are First Aberdeen and Stagecoach Bluebird. The city operates a park and ride service from Kinsgwells and Bridge of Don and there are bus/taxi lanes which cars are not permitted to use at certain peak times.
