Getting around Orban is possible in several different ways.  Many visitors choose to walk when downtown in order to explore the city's shops and attractions.  Walking along the shore line and beaches is also popular.  If planning to travel a longer distance than walking will take you, Oban has public buses, bike rental shops, and car rental agencies.  Depending on where and how you want to go, you could also take a ride on one of Oban's Ferries which make frequent trips to its surrounding islands.

Flit Self Drive is a local Orban car rental agency which rents both cars and larger vehicles to tourists.  Just remember that if you are not local to drive on the left side of the road!  Another Oban car rental agency is Hazelbank Motors.  See their websites for more information.

Bike rentals can be made at a number of places locally.  Luing Bike Hire and Liberty Cycles are two such companies that rent bikes by the day or week.  Prices and more details are on their websites.

Oban's ferries provide services to the 22 islands near to Oban on Scotland's west coast.  For more information on ferry service from Oban or for prices and schedules visit Caldonian MacBrayne Ferries.
