There are a number of options to choose from, 5 companies were offering cruises to the Aran Isles. Garrihy's suggested Inisheer (Eastern Island) followed by a 1 hour trip around The Cliffs of Moher; worth noting this was the least expensive option! They were also more than happy to take well behaved dogs.
Inisheer is the closest , a population of 300, the entire island can also be walked in 3 hours. Lots to see, but not outstanding from a bidwatching or sea spotting point of view, however the cliffs cruise was a treat, puffins, shags, seals and lots more. A group of dolphins accompanied the boat for a full 10 minutes on the way back.
The trip was superb, the people friendly, they deserve their success.
