Galway has its own latin quarter made up of medivial streets and this is
where the crowds usually head at the weekend. One such bar is Busker Brownes
and it was a former convent in the 1600's. It is very impressive and
serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as being one of the busier
night spots. There is usually a live band every night and the Black
Magic Big band - an 18 piece jazz band perform every Monday for
free. Hear classics such as Mack the Knife, Thats Amoré and watch Galway finest swing dancers in action. And the best part it is, it is free.
