Onward Travel to Cannes from Nice Airport

From Nice Airport, there is bus service to Cannes but be aware the airport has two terminals (T1 and T2 ). Both T1 and T2 have a small bus station just outside their arrivals halls

Direct Express Coach: The 210 airport express coach serves the bus stations at both airport terminals and uses the autoroute. It takes around 45 minutes from Nice Airport direct to the centre of Cannes. Last direct coach from Nice Airport leaves around 20.00hrs daily including public holidays.

Slow Bus:  Except for the last two buses each day, the 200 route bus (Nice - Cannes) stops on the Promenade des Anglais, the main road outside Terminal 1 at the airport .To get to the nearest bus stop named Aéroport Promenade, takes around 5 minutes using the route signposted outside the T1 arrivals hall. You need to cross the very busy main road to go in the direction of Cannes (don't be tempted to risk life and limb - there is an underpass) and hail the driver as the 200 approaches. The service is frequent  with up to 4 buses an hour during the day but it can get crowded. Journey times on the 200 line can be anything from 1.25 hours upwards and frequently are subject to long delays.

The last two buses each evening are not generally affected by traffic snarl ups and divert from the main road into the airport complex, calling at the Terminal 1 bus station at about 21.00 and 22.00 respectively. From T2, take the free inter-terminal shuttle to T1

There is also a later night bus service (Noct'am N200) between Nice Airport and Cannes that operates from T1 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night and on the night prior to French bank holidays.

The #210 express coach terminates at Cannes bus station just opposite the old port , close to the Palais des Festivals.

The #200 bus terminates nearby at the railway station in Cannes which is located right in the centre of town

It is a short walk to most of the main hotels from either terminus. However there is a taxi rank to the side of the bus and train station in Cannes if needed.

Train:   The railway station for Nice airport is Nice St. Augustin. Be warned it's a 15 to 20 minute walk from the airport's Terminal 1. It's tucked away the far side of the large office developments of the Arenas area and there are some fairly busy roads to cross. There are signs including markings on the pavement to get you there and a map is available on the airport website under trains (see below). If you don't want to walk, the number 23 bus from Terminal 1 will drop you close to the station.  From Terminal 2,  take the free inter-terminal shuttle and get off at the Arenas stop after Terminal 1, which is closer to the station, then follow the signs *.

*Note that as of September 2014, the inter terminal shuttle and number 23 bus are on diversion and not stopping close to St Augustin due to roadworks in the area. Check the Nice Airport website link  for up to date information
