The area of Augsburg has a nice website available for visitors that can help you plan your trip with regard to transportation, sightseeing and accommodations.

The Augsburg Tourism site is full of useful information, and depending on what you want to see in Augsburg, your search for information can certainly begin here, if not end as well.

For sightseeing, click on “sightseeing” and view the map that appears. Click on one of the map pictures that looks interesting and you’ll be given a pop-up (be sure to enable pop-ups before visiting this site) that tells you a little something about the site, or theatre or museum. Click on “sightseeing tours” to see a list of the various sightseeing tours available, and links to pages that will give you specific details about the tour, including prices and during what time of year the tour is available.

There’s also a great deal of information here about dining in Augsburg as well as accommodations. You can do a search for a specific accommodation or do a general search that will offer suggestions based on your criteria.

You can order travel brochures for this site, or you can visit the tourist board in person, at the city hall square from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. This particular office is also open Saturday and Sunday during the summer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
