January 16th till 25th: Gruene Woche (International Green Week is the world's biggest consumer show for food, agricultural, and horticultural industries, taking place at exhibition grounds at Funkturm

January 19th till 23st: Berlin Fashion Week (fashion fair with several events, some of them free to visit) 

January 22rd till 27th: Berliner Sechstagerennen (Berlin's Six-Day Race is a a bicycle race which takes place in the Velodrom in Prenzlauer Berg for six days)

January 28th till February 1st: Transmediale (a festival for media, art and digital culture, taking place in Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Mitte)

February 5th till 15th: Berlinale (International film festival at Potsdamer Platz and in several cinemas in Berlin)

March 4th till 8th, 2015: ITB - Internationale Tourismusbörse (International Travel Trade Show at at exhibition grounds at Funkturm)

May 1st: Myfest (May Day street event in Kreuzberg around Kottbusser Tor and Oranienplatz)

May 1st till 3rd: Gallery Weekend (event for contemporary art in several galleries)

May 1st till 17th: Berliner Theatertreffen (Berlin theatre festival)

May 7th till 10th: XJAZZ - the new festival for Berlin (a festival for contemporary Jazz, Electronica and Neo-Classic music)

May 22th till 25th: Karneval der Kulturen (Carnival of Cultures is a parade on May 24th and street party in Kreuzberg

May 29th till 31st: Berlin Festival (open air music festival at the Arena in Treptow) 

May 31st till June 5th: ILA – Berlin Air Show (The international aerospace fair takes place every two years at Berlin ExpoCenter Airport in Schoenefeld)

 

June

June 7th: Openair Gallery on Oberbaum Bridge (The bridge is closed for traffic and there will be more than 100 artists showing and selling their works on Oberbaum Bridge)

June 13th: Lange N8 der Wissenschaften (during Long Night of Science several research facilities have special events and are open to the public at night, website is German only 

June 20th till 21st: Lesbisch-schwules Stadtfest (Berlin Pride Festival takes place around Nollendorfplatz in Schoeneberg

June 21st: Staatsoper für alle (free open air concert of the state opera) 

June 21st: Fete de la Musique (free open air festival with all sorts of music at different location all over Berlin)

June 25th till July 12th: Foreign Affairs (international festival for film, theatre, dance and fine arts)

June 26th till 28th: 48 Stunden Neukoelln (48 hours Neukoelln is a cultural event taking place around Karl-Marx-Strasse in Neukoelln)

June 27th: CSD - Christopher Street Day (LGBT street parade)

July 2nd till 6th: Classic Open Air (at Gendarmenmarkt in Mitte)

August 8th: Lesbischwules Parkfest in Volkspark Friedrichshain (LGBT festival taking place at the outdoor stage and cinema in Volkspark Friedrichshain)

August 14th and 15th, 28th and 29th: Aquarella Berlin (illumination festival on the river Spree, website is German only)

August 15th: Potsdamer Schlössernacht (during Potsdam Palace Night the palaces and gardens of Potsdam are illuminated and several single events take place)

August 29th: Lange Nacht der Museen (during Long Night of Museums several museums in Berlin have special events and are open to the public at night)

 

September

September 6th: ISTAF - Internationales Stadionfest (International Stadium Festival for athletes at Olympic Stadium) 

September 4th till 5th: Pyronale (fireworks championship at Maifeld/ Olympic Stadium in Charlottenburg)

September 4th till 9th: IFA - Internationale Berliner Funkausstellung (international consumer electronics fair at exhibition ground at Funkturm)

September 9rd till 11th: Pop = Kultur (former Berlin Music Week) (festival for pop and rock music) 

TBA: Belgische Wochen in Berlin (discover Belgian food in Berlin: Belgian weeks are organized by the embassy of Belgium)

September 13th: Tag des offenen Denkmals (on Heritage Day you get free access to several monuments which are usually not open to the public)

September 25th till October 18th: Berliner Oktoberfest (Oktoberfest at Kurt-Schumacher-Damm in Berlin)

October 2nd till 18th: Berlin leuchtet (illumination festival)

October 3rd: 25 Years of Tag der deutschen Einheit (to celebrate Day of German Unity there will be a festival at the Brandenburg Gate and Strasse des 17. Juni)
