There are plenty of events and festivals held throughout the year in Cordoba.  But if these aren’t enough, the areas surrounding the city offer even more. 

            Perhaps the most well known tradition within all of Spain is the bullfight.  Along with many other cities, Cordoba embraces this tradition and even has a bullfighting ring.  Although many people find this to be a cruel and inhumane activity, the fights continue.  For more information, visit Bullfighting in Cordoba .

            Holy week in Cordoba is very important to the local community, and is celebrated the entire week leading up to Easter Sunday.  The climactic days are Thursday and Friday, during which time the streets fill with people.
