The Garcia Sanabria Park is named after Mayor Garcia Sanabria who had it constructed. It was constructed in 1926 between the streets called Calle Numancia, Mendez Nuñez, Dr. Jose Navaeras and Rambla de Santa Cruz. The park covers an area of 67,000 square meters and is the largest urban park in the Canary Islands. The last renovation of the park took place in 2006. The park has a floral clock that was made in Switzerland by the Favag Co. and this was a gift from the Consul of Denmark to Tenerife in 1958. There are two staircases that flank the clock. The park is a botanic garden and it has flowers and plants native to the Canaries, and also from foreign places that are tropical.
