CentroCentro is an art gallery located in the Palacio de Cibeles, which is the present Ayuntamiento (City Hall) of Madrid. It used to be called the Palacio de Telecomunicaciones or the Correos Building. The architects of the building were Antonio Palacios and Joaquín Otamendi. The building was started in 1907 and finished in 1919. The building was declared a National Monument in 1993. The building was restored and remodeled a few years ago and now has a sparklingly new look. Today the art gallery is used for important art exhibitions.
