A visit to Limassol Castle in the old port area is a must. Richard the Lionheart is said to have married there. The Castle stands proud in the square. Surrounded by restaurants/bars.  The old carob mills have been converted into upmarket cafes-bars. Limassol's old market is nearby.  Also near this area you will find a labyrinth of old cobbled streets.  St Andrews Street is a favorite for many tourists.  The square is a good place to eat either at night or to simply enjoy a coffee or lunch.  There is a museum inside the castle.In the evening. enjoy a meal in one of the eateries overlooking the castle, it looks magical when it is illuminated.
