A few years ago the best way to get into Monte-Carlo from Nice Airport, the city’s nearest airport, was by helicopter. It was just a seven-minute flight. It's still a cool jet-set way to arrive, but, a round trip now cost 200 Euros!. Helicopters fly on a fixed schedule and they all arrive in Monaco Heli Port. From there you can take a van to your hotel. Check out their website at http://www.heliairmonaco.com for details about schedules.
You can arrive by train. There is a train station in Monte Carlo with all the glamour of the place. Trains make connections to all major European destinations. The ticket to Nice is about 10 Euros round trip and the ride is worth the landscape. Check the schedules with the station manager as they may change.
There is a scheduled bus service from Nice that leaves every 15 minutes (Monday through Saturday, 20 minutes on Sundays) from Gare Routiere. The ride is worth the view if you have the time to enjoy it.
