Air travel to Graz is easy via the Graz Airport, which ahs numerous flights from various Austrian and European destinations. While there are no direct flights from the United States to Graz there are numerous connections through major European cities.
When arriving at Graz Airport there are also several options to get to the city center, including the main train station at the main passenger terminal. Travel from the airport to the central train station takes about 20 minutes, and shuttle buses are also available and these can take you to main destinations in the city center. Taxicabs are also available and the fare is actually reasonable from the airport to the city, and is probably a wise move for two or more travelers as parties of four or less ride for the price of one.
Rental cars are also available, and there are service counters in the baggage claim area of the arrivals terminal. Drivers do need an international license to rent a car in Austria, and must be 21-years of age.
Additionally there are numerous rail options from around Austria and other destinations to Graz, which is centrally located in the country. Travel time by train to Graz from Vienna is about two and a half hours.
