Salamanca Place is a precinct of historic sandstone warehouses on the eastern edge of the docks in Hobart.  It is the city's main tourist area and is famed for its art galleries, restaurants, hotels and craftwork shops.

Each saturday, the market square comes to life with Australia's finest markets featuring good food, Tasmanian craft products and souvenir stalls, all vying for the tourist customer's attention.  A trip to Hobart would not be complete without a visit to Salamanca Markets.
