The climate in Cesky Krumlov is temperate, which means that the city generally experiences four distinct season changes.  Although it can be visited throughout the year, certain months are more comfortable than others. 

            On average, the hottest months of the year are July and August, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally hover in the mid to upper 70’s.  Temperatures do reach the 80’s during hot days, but this is about as hot as it gets.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally drop to the mid to upper 50’s.  The most tourists generally visit the city during these warm summer months.

            The coldest months of the year on average are January and February, during which time the daily high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 30’s.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally fall to the mid 20’s.  Winters in Cesky Krumlov are relatively mild, but there are times when the bitter cold will unexpectedly take over the city.

            Throughout the year in Cesky Krumlov, there is always a chance for precipitation, but on average the wettest months of the year are from May until August.
