Next door to the restaurant "Beira Rio" furthest away from the Roman Bridge, there is an Irish Bar 'The Black Anchor'.. opened October 2007. A wide variety of drinks, including cider and English beers....The atmosphere is great and they often have live music and karaoke at weekends. They also show sports fixtures.

Riverside Bar A bar very popular with expats and tourists. Open all day, they serve full English breakfasts and other bar foods. Great cocktail menu and lively atmosphere. They also show sports fixtures and have air conditioning.

 
Largo Da Caracolinha


Rumors Bar Just round the corner from the Riverside bar is a small bar with a very lively atmosphere. The beer here is served in frosted glasses and tastes great! The staff here are very friendly and always have time for their customers. They also have live music at weekends.

Rua Antonio Cabreira

 Santa Lucia bar  Under new management from summerm2013. Friendly bar with outside seating area and NO TRAFFIC, with good selection of drinks. Sports shown on 4 TV's. Open from noon.


Rua Do Cais


Pink Flamingo located very close to the beach ferry stop. With both indoor and outdoor seating areas, this bar is perfect for any weather. The decor is vibrant and modern, which reflects the menu and product available. Definitely a must visit.

Discoteca Ubi & Bubi Bar. Over 18s only. Lots of dance music, podiums and tables to dance on. A number of bars located throughout for easy access. Outside area for cooling down, pool table, chairs in quiet area and also a separate bar (Bubi's). This is a late night hot spot and you wont get kicked out until at least 6am. Enjoy!!

Take a stroll around, the streets are safe and quiet at night, sit on the Roman Bridge and watch the tide come in. Really relaxing!
