For those thinking of visiting Nigeria, remember to take your Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. Ordinarily, this certificate is only required if travellers are arriving from an area where Yellow Fever is endemic. The Nigerian authorities, however, seem to require it from all visitors, regardless of their departure point.

So, if you've flown from Europe, remember to have that yellow booklet to hand - you'll be asked for this BEFORE you pass immigration. So, if someone has come to meet you, it is unlikely they will be able to assist as they'll be on the other side of immigration. The alternative is you'll be taken to a clinic in the airport for a shot in the arm - something to avoid at all costs!
