Located just next door to Umayyad mosque just after Saladin tomb, and very easy to find and reach is a beautiful example of an Islamic Madrassa..

this madrassa dates back to the Memluk Era (13th century), is a cozy and beautiful memluk building.

Currently is the center of the Epigraphy meuseum which might not be of interest to the foreign visitor, but if you want to see an example of an islamic school that is central in location and great in decoration this is the one and is worth an hour maybe.
