MacRitchie Reservoir is part of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve located in the heart of Singapore. The treetop walk was built a few years ago and connects two of the highest points in MacRitchie Reservoir. The bridge is 250m long and gives you a birds eye view of the forest canopy. Singapore is a bustling city full of skyscrapers but you would never imagine it from your viewpoint on the bridge. Not a single building is visible from the bridge, just trees, plants and birds.

How to get there

To get to the Treetop Walk, get into a taxi and ask them to take you to Venus Drive off upper Thomson Road. This is the starting point for the walk and the route is clearly marked at the end of the car park on Venus Drive.

The Walk

The first section of the walk takes you by a stream and past the Singapore Island Country Club. About 4km into the walk you will reach a Rangers Station where you can find drinking water and toilets. In total, the walk is about 8km long, with patches of uneven, undulating terrain. At a moderate pace, the walk should take you about  2½ to 3 hours.
