After the alms giving early morning, one favorite detour before heading back to the hotel for breakfast is to pass by the Vegetable Market. You might enjoy snapping photos of this market - herbs, fruits and vegetables that some are unique to this part of the world. You can also pick up a bag of sweetened sticky rice or fruit everyday. Very nice! Very fresh! Made with Lao Pride!
Ok, so there's the occasional ear of the buffalo or the hanging of a chicken on a fence every now and then. This sure is no Walmart. This market is a road side market and is "open" only for a hour or so.
All the best!
