The people are friendly and if lost, provide good direction for you.  Communication can be a problem as many do not speak English.  At most of the major temple sites, they tends to turn the top level into a place of worship.  When you climbed all the way up to the top, you find yourself in a small room with a Buddha in the centre.  Local then offer joss sticks for you.  Do not accept if you are not making any donations.  It is not sure whether these donations eventually will go to the 'temple' or 'conservation'.  You can decline the offerings and start walking back down after taking some pictures.
