Flights to Europe are mainly serviced by  Air France, SN Brussels Airways, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc and Turkish Airlines, the airport receives direct flights from Paris, Brussels, Dubai, Addis Ababa, Cassablanca, Istanbul and Jo'burg .

The African continent is well serviced by Air Algerie, Air Burkina, Arik, ASKY, Kenya Airlines, south African Airlines, and others.

 Air Cote d'Ivoire connects Abidjan with Cote D'Ivoire's cities.

Due to its daily flght connections to Europe, the airport is a hub for all West Africa as it receives flights from all over Africa.

At the airport, the traveler can rent a car from Hertz, Budget, Europcar or Avis. Abidjan downtown is about 10 miles away from the airport. Since January 2016 there is a new private "cab" service offered by "Africab" (see more details on "Abidjan - Getting Around" or on their website:  www.afri-cab.com ).  There are also the famous orange metered taxis, and the current rate from the airport to an address in Abidjan varies from 12,000 to 18,000 F CFA.

Please note that, as at August 2011, there is no public seating in the airport area before going through to the check-in area. So, if you arrive early, be prepared to sit on the floor or stand until you can check-in.  However, the actual airport is very modern, clean and safe.

As of June 2014 before going through customs when departing you will be queried about currency in your possession. As a departing non resident you are allowed to take out $1000 or €750. This is not made clear on arrival, but according to officials, any amount brought into the country higher than this, is supposed to be declared on arrival.
