Bangalore is not a garden city as it used to be 10 years back, but still the place has its own charm and fancies. Bangalore at one time was heaven for the youngsters, but not as much anymore.
FUN-CITY formerly known as Fun World: the first place to go is the complex on the Palace Road...its called 'FUNCITY'..its got a 10-lane bowling lane and some cool console games plus it has a decent go-karting track with pretty OK vehicles.(the best time would be during the rains as the tracks are sliperry and max fun)...Cost:Rs.100/- per 3 laps., Bowling:Rs.100/- per game of 10 shots. other game:Rs.20/- each
WONDER LA: its on the Bangalore-Mysore road. Its got some cool rides..its an amusement park. You'll require a complete day to plan.Its around 50km from the city. Cost: Rs.500/- per head
BOATING/ YATCH/ ROWING: You can do a certified course in water sports at the Ulsoor lake and the Nagwara Lake. This former is located near MG Road/ Indiranagar. This is run by the Indian army-Madras regiment as a open course for civilians. they have done a fabulous job to keep the place clean. Nagwara Lake is located on Outer Ring Road near Banaswadi and is known as Lumbini Gardens. They also offer Jet Skiing here.
JAKUR AIR STRIP:In case you want to do paragliding or just have a 1000CC bike that you wanna roar,then head to Jakur air strip..you'll have to go towards Yelanka from Banaglore city..its almost 60Km. Check out the local papers for the attractions and the days they have it .
DISCOTHEQUE: These days shaking your legs can be pricy or too crowded. The good ones are F Lounge, iBar, Athena.
BREWERIES: The trend of Macro Breweries has just picked up and serve great Porters among others. Look for Windmills and Toit
JUST PLAIN SIT: Any Coffee Day (especially the ones at Garuda mall, brigade road, Indiranagar), KOSHY(near cubbon park, more of intellectual crowd just for some snak and talk), PECOS(Just drink...drink...drink..and keep sitting..you do get things to eat too), BEANSTALK( Indiranagar, small place but a cool joint).
SHOPPING: Malls are your best bet: FORUM(at Koramanagala- the best) GARUDA( near Brigade Road), Also, near the Garuda Mall, there is this very girly boutique COCOPELEE, It's an amazing store with very trendy apparels, accessories, shoes, bags and gifting ideas, BRANDFACTORY(places for factory outlets- Near Airport), Commercial street: More of 'desi' shopping with lotsa shops wall to wall, BRIGADE ROAD: people watching.
