Troy University’s Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts has been converted into a 1,200 seat modern performing arts venue from its earlier days as The Paramount Theatre - a movie palace built in 1929 and designed for “talkies” and vaudeville shows.  Outside, you’re greeted by the restoration of this theatre back to its original beauty.  The Theatre’s new look is reminiscent of how it looked in its early years as The Paramount: neon marquee, flashing chase lights, ornamental ticket booth and poster cabinets.  Inside the décor hearkens back to another age.  The Davis welcomes all types of performing arts – music, dance and theatre – everything from large scale professional touring Broadway musicals to smaller community shows. More information can be found on their website Davis Theatre.
