Hazyview.....a wonderful area located close to the Paul Kruger & Numbi gates of the Kruger National Park, which gets its name from the typical lowvelt summer haze over that area. Its conveniently situated location affords it to be the gateway to so many of the fantastic sights in the surrounding catchment areas,.
The closeness of the town to places such as ...the Panorama Route through the awe inspiring Drakensberg escarpment....includes places such as Bourke's Luck Potholes......The 3 Rondavaals....a magnificent & naturally formed sight which are even more imposing when looking down onto them..... White River....exactly what it says......this is THE place for white water rafting....several places will show you how to do it....then....take you on a roller coaster ride you will NEVER forget....then give you a signed certificate afterwrds to say that you've done it.....brilliant........!!
God's Window.....see why this area is called just that....beautiful, beautiful sights and vistas...Mac Mac falls.....a virtually permanent rainbow overcasts this area.....for obvious reasons....but from the right position, you can have your photo taken with a full rainbow right over your head......what a souvenier photo that would make for your mantleshelf.....!!
Blyde River Canyon.......Bridal Veil.......pan for gold in the stream still running through Pilgrim's Rest.....all these and more are within 20 /30 kms of each other, which means that you can visit several of these locations in a day, without having to "put foot".....!!
The location isalso ideal for those people who are travelling into or out of the Kruger National Park...to use as a stop-over...it's closeness to the park allows that little period of luxurious relaxation before taking the long road home again...
Situated approx a4hr steady driving from Johannesburg, this is a great place to stay overnight before driving onwards, travel into the KNP, or ontowards Zim....
Have a look....you will love this area.....
