Parking in downtown historic Eureka Springs is at a premium. There are pay for parking lots downtown. There are parking meters.  They want your money.  The police write tickets ($5) per offence for non payment. Both lots and meters.  They write tickets in all kinds of weather, rain, sleet, snow.  Even when the town is empty. Be forewarned.  The meters are one dollar per hour, with a four hour max. The tickets are five dollars. Better to not pay the meter and get a ticket, because they will ticket you anyway just after your meter runs out. Does't seem to matter that you have spent a thousand dollars in their stupid little town that weekend. Even on Sundays in hurricane type weather you will get a ticket. Pretty sad that a place with such potential goes out of their way to tick of tourists and keep them from returning.
