In general, Napa Valley tends to not be very accomodating for children. However, if you do want to take your family here, Calistoga is the best place for it. There are many family-oriented hotels here and many pools! Calistoga tends to be more casual and laid back than other towns in the Napa Valley and you'll find many fun and educational activities for the entire family. There is so much history here, and it is very well-preserved as you'll notice, for example, just by walking through Main street. Hotels and restaurants tend to be within walking distance and the atmosphere is not swanky here. It's much more relaxed than the rest of the valley.

As a family, a fun activity is to take a bike ride through the Petrified Forest or have a picnic by Old Faithful Geyser.
