Shopping in the Town of Vail, Colorado is a fun experience. During the summer months, visitors gather there to walk around the streets of Vail Village. They shop in boutiques, art galleries, jewelry stores, and sporting goods stores. Mixed in with all of the stores are many restaurants, ranging from small ice cream shops to fine steak houses.

One of the truly unique shops in town that you must visit is Swedish Clog Cabin - a Scandinavian boutique specializing in Tessa Clogs and all items with northern mountain flair.  Do take some time to find this store in the corner of Lionshead just 100 yards north of the Eagle Bahn Gondola that is running winter and summer.

The Town of Vail’s shopping areas are upscale and the shops tend to carry quite expensive items. However, if an inexpensive souvenir or T-shirt is wanted, it can most likely be found at any number of the stores in the town.

Shops such as grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations, and convenience stores are scattered around the Vail area, but some of the larger grocery stores are a mile or two from the center of Vail Village, and a car or a bus must be utilized in order to get to them.

During the summer months, people flock to Vail to participate in any number of outdoor activities. While in the town, they spend time browsing through the shops there, while enjoying the flowers and landscaping growing throughout the resort. In the winter, the number of tourists increases dramatically, so this is when the stores make their most money.
