Transportation Options in Clearwater Beach

If you don’t want to drive – or don’t have a car during your vacation, Clearwater Beach has a number of options.

All the beaches have at least one free ride company that offers rides for no charge.

Jolley Trolley : 727-445-1200  The Jolley Trolley travels along Clearwater Beach, Sand Key, Island Estates & Downtown Clearwater, every 30 minutes, starting at 10:00 a.m. and running until 10:00 p.m weekdays and 12:00 midnight on Friday and Saturday.  The Trolley runs on two routes. One route travels along the beach and Sand Key while another through Island Estates and Downtown. These routes intersect at Pier 60.  An unlimited daily pass is available and exact change is required  (check their website for current price).  A Coastal Route services Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

Suncoast Beach Trolley:  The Suncoast Trolley is part of the Pinellas County PSTA bus system operating from downtown Clearwater and serving the barrier islands south to St. Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille, a distance of over 25 miles.  Hours are from 5 am to 10:00 pm (and later on weekends).   Check their website for fares and schedule.  Exact change is required. 

Super Shuttle Tampa Airport Shuttle Service, (727) 572-1111.  Shared passenger van service is located at all four corners of the Baggage Claim Level of Tampa International Airport.

N.Y. Cab & Limo Co. or 727- 543-4111 Offers way cool vintage Checkers, Lincoln Town Cars, Vans, Limos and party buses for all size groups large or small. Flat rate anywhere on Clearwater Beach. Available 24/7  

Taxi’s:  The airport is served by Yellow Cab (813) 253-0121 and United Cab (813) 777-7777.  They have a contract with the airport and only these companies can pick up at Tampa International. ANY TAXI cab such as Internet Taxi (727) 239-1371 can offer transportation TO both the Tampa and St Pete Clearwater Airport.

There are several taxi cabs that serve the St. Pete/Clearwater airport, but be careful of the "gypsy cabs" those that are "weekend warriors" many operate under personal insurance, no commercial insurance, not liscenened. Extra red flag if no meter and driver says "taxi like rates"
