As with all of Florida, Daytona Beach enjoys hot summers and mild winters. Many visitors choose to visit during the spring when the weather has warmed from its brief winter chill, but has not yet reached its normal summer temperatures in the high 90's.
Summer is, however, still an excellent time to visit as the prices for hotel accommodations and flights drop during that time of year.
Also important to keep in mind is that Daytona Beach is located in a hurricane risk zone, so during the late summer and fall the area does run the risk of being exposed to them.
If you are planning to visit during that time of year be sure to check weather reports vigilantly and buy travel insurance.
