Historic downtown Fernandina Beach is a great place for live music on Amelia Island.  Some of the finest musicians in Jacksonville can be found playing in clubs in the historic district.

The Palace Saloon at 117 Centre St. has live music 7 days/week starting at 9:30pm.  Musicians like Wes Cobb, Yancy Clegg and Buck Smith keep the place rocking with alternative, blues and classic rock, and on Monday nights it's reggae with Pili Pili.

* If you're looking for an earlier start to your evening, Indigo Alley at 316 Centre St. is an eclectic wine bar where the live music and dancing starts as early as 7pm.  From jazz, Latin and blues to folk and acoustic rock, they are always bringing in new musicians from across the U.S. to play in the lounge or outside in the courtyard. Every week there are even jam sessions and open mic nights where local and visitng musicians alike get to show their stuff.  Check out their live music calendar to find out who's playing tonight.

* The Davis Turner Band plays every Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting at 8:30pm at O'Kane's Irish Pub at 318 Centre St.

* Wicked Davey's at 232 North 2nd St. is a place that locals gather and listen to a mix of live bands on Friday nights and reggae on Saturday nights with Spirit Dub Government.

* And Green Turtle Tavern at 18 South 3rd St is the local "hippie bar" with a great beer selection.  Here you can chill on the patio with an acoustic or reggae act on Thursday and Saturday nights.
