Only by kayak can you glide over crystal clear water inches deep and escape to the seclusion and serenity of the beautiful and bio-diverse mangroves. Come drift through the mangrove islands on jungle-like tidal creeks and explore the backcountry "flats" while learning about the incredible and unique marine life found in the Keys.
Blue Planet Kayak's sole business is eco-tours. Their trips are very informative, but laid back and lots of fun. The owner and guide, Chad Bryant, is an environmental scientist with more than 15 years experience researching and exploring Florida Keys waters. He and the other guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.
Blue Planet offers a variety of tours, during the day and at sunset. Each is $50 per person for 2 1/2 hours and they take a maximum of 10 guests per guide. No experience needed. While all the tours are wonderful, the Sunset Tour is magical and not to be missed. You can also rent kayaks to do your own exploration or fishing.
This is an affordable and very relaxing "must do" while you are in Key West. Get away from the hustle of Duval Street and the usual tourist attractions and reserve your Kayak at Blue Planet Kayak 1-800-979-3370.
