If you are flying, your best (and cheapest) bet is to fly into Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. Many airlines have expanded the number of flights to Fort Myers which should make booking fairly easy. Then - rent a car. It is a straight easy drive into Naples and parking at hotels is never a problem like in many cities.

There once were commercial flights available to Naples Airport. (APF) - but not currently (Feb 2012). This airport has charter services available through ExecAir, GulfCoast Airways and Naples Air - check the Naples Airport website for additional information - http://www.flynaples.com/
RSW has also some non-stop international flights: Air Berlin to Dusseldorf, Germany with 4 direct flights weekly. Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport (FLL) also is easily accessible to Naples - less than a 90 minute drive across I-75 / Alligator Alley.
From MIA or Ft. Lauderdale it’s less than a 2 hour drive via I-75 to Naples. The Tamiami Trail is a 2-lane National Scenic Byway connecting Miami with Everglades City, Marco Island and downtown Naples. This road goes through the Everglades and Big Cypress National Preserve.
