The climate in Dearborn is considered temperate, which means that the city experiences four distinct seasons.  Although it can be visited year round, certain months are much more comfortable than others.

On average, the hottest months of the year are July and August, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally hover in the mid to upper 80’s.  Days reaching the 90’s are not abnormal.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally drop to the low 60’s.  Humidity during these summer months will make it seem much hotter than what the mercury reads.

The coldest months of the year on average are January and February, during which time the daily high temperatures will only reach the low to mid 30’s.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will generally stay in the mid teens.  The winters in Dearborn are very harsh, and many people opt not to visit during this time.  There are however many winter sports available for those not bothered by the cold.

Precipitation can be expected during any time of the year, but on average July is the wettest month.  The summer months generally are wetter than the winter, but winter months experience a lot of cloud cover.

Late spring and early fall are perhaps the best times to visit Dearborn.  The temperatures are rather mild, and the leaves are either blooming or changing colors.
