If the weather is nice, take a 30 minute car ride to South Haven. It's got a two great Lake Michigan beaches, a peer, and lots of little shops. It's easy to find -- from Kalamazoo, just follow M-43 East until you hit the water. South Haven is a great place swim of course, but you can also just head over there for dinner and then watch the sunset over Lake Michigan. Visit Grand Rapids
