Lake Superior is very beautiful, as is the shoreline, and the hills along the lake. And there are many things to do. Many many museums, exploring the North Shore, old mansions, waterfalls, small lakeside villages, hiking, boating, biking, the big ships, the lift bridge, fishing, lighthouses, and hanging out on the lakefront is very nice. The rugged North Shore is an outdoor recreation dream. It has very wide variety of things to do . A nautical lakeside/seaside atomosphere. It's small scale compared to other cities, but it's quaint, less crowded, and unique in it's own way. Unbelieveably underrated.
