Four miles west of Cuba, MO on Route 66 is the Fanning 66 Outpost & General Store. Sitting beside it is the Route 66 Rocker, made of wood and steel. It is 42 feet tall and was erected on April 1, 2008. The owners of the Outpost built it as a roadside attraction like the ones in the old days of Route 66. It has been designated by the Guinness organization as the World's Largest Rocking Chair. They hope another generation of travelers will stop by to see it and visit their store. Cuba is about 75 miles southwest of St. Louis, Missouri. From the Missouri Hick BBQ east of historic uptown Cuba on Route 66 to this Route 66 Rocker attraction, there are restaurants and specialty shops. It is an area about five miles long on Route 66. The Cuba Chamber website is cubamochamber.com.
