The Steamer Glen Haven was built in 1876 by the Skaneateles Railrod Company, which also owned a recreation area and dance pavilion on the East Shore called Pine Grove (the area now known as the Pines) The Glen Haven was sucessfully operated for 25 years under the supervision of Martin Fennell, for many years the master mechanic of the railroad.
