Syracuse hosts many great festivals throughout the year. The city really honors many cultures with festivals that showcase traditional heritage from different countries making them educational and fun experiences.
The Paradise Market is an 80,000 square foot indoor shopping experience like you have never seen. It's open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday all year round. Inside and always out of the weather, Paradise is home to over 230 business. Food vendors, clothing, arts, crafts, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, and much more. The summer months host the majority of the events such as the Taste of Syracuse in June which also sees the following cultural festivals:
June also hosts the Syracuse Jazz Festival and Syracuse Balloon Fest. July sees another cultural fest with the Middle Eastern Culture Festival. July also has the New York State with the Rhythm and Blues Festival which attracts visitors all over to enjoy the great live music.
Again more culture fests come in August such as:
Late August through early September, Syracuse hosts the New York State Fair. The state fair brings in top music acts, displays countless exhibits, has a fairground with rides and offers a taste of the best of summer's food in New York.
September again brings more culture with the Irish Festival and the Festa Italiana.
October is a month full of Fright Nights at the Fair. Every Friday-Sunday all month, you can come back to the NYS Fair and experience the largest Haunted House Spectacular in the North East! It gets bigger, better, and even mroe frightening each and every year. 2009 featured FIVE Haunted House walkthroughs and a Haunted Hayride all for under $20.00.
When the holiday season comes around Syracuse gets very festive and in the spirit. Numerous activities regarding the holidays take place making it a wonderful time to visit.
