Movie can be found in great abundance in this town. The largest cinema is AMC Southroads 20 Plex on 4923 East 41st Street, but there is also a drive-in, Admiral Twin, at 7355 East Easton Street, and a Cinemark IMAX theatre at 10802 East 71st Street, among smaller ones that cater more to art films.   A really fun, new, and "spoil you rotten" theater is now in Tulsa - the Warren Theater - very cool - stylish - old fashion style with big seats - going to the movies with or without the kids ... check it out....

The performance venues in Tulsa are even more numerous, with places such as the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, Brady Theatre, Clark Theatre and American Theatre Company all putting on plays regularly (see Performing Arts for more details). There is also a ballet company and an opera house in Tulsa.

Concerts?  Always!  The downtown BOK Center host concerts, as well as Hard Rock Casino and the River Spirit Casino Event Center.  Live music can also be found at the FlyTrap and Cain's Ballroom ...  which are downtown in the "Brady district" (a local term for the north edge of downtown area) which has art and music stores.   These have a reasonable cost to get in.   Live Jazz music on Sunday afternoons/evenings are a regular event.   See the Jazz Depot / Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame for the schedule.

The fun crowd can be found on "Brookside" which is Peoria between 31st and 41st, which has a large number of resturants & bars.   For example, the Brook Resturant at 34th & Peoria, is a favorite for good food with good drinks.  But be careful, just south of the area - Peoria & 51st has a high crime rate.    "Downtown" has had a major new resturants, hotels, and sports bars during the last ten years and is becoming a place to go hang out with friends for food and drinks.   Another fun spot is "Cherry Street" on 15th Street - with shops and resturants - a favorite with great decor resturant is the Irish Pub  Kilkennys which has awesome food..

Another fun place for the day and especially the evening is the Riverwalk (just over the bridge) in Jenks, OK.   It is right on the river, with a good walking path that goes along the river.  Stores and resturants and a movie theator make up this complex.   One can eat at half a dozen good resturants either outside or inside.   Los Cabos (Mexican)  and Gina & Guiseppes (Italion) and TKs2 (Chinese)  is some of these.   During the warmer weather on Friday & Saturday nights, live music is at the Riverwalk at the outdoor ampitheator (free).    Click the Riverwalk link above and check the schedule.     Very popular and parking is a challenge during weekend evenings (but you CAN do it).

Casino's?   The mega Hard Rock Casino is on the east side of Tulsa.  The mega River Spirit Casino is on the southwest side of Tulsa.  To the north is the Osage Casino.   The mega ones have a hotel, event centers for concerts, live music during the weekends, bars, resturants, stores to shop at ....
