Bend has shopping areas which offer both the traditional "big box" stores and also unique specialty shopping experiences.

The historic Old Mill District is located right along the beautiful Deschutes River on the former site of one of the largest sawmills in the country. If you are looking for activities for any interest go to the Old Mill District.

A comprehensive shopping experience, the Old Mill District is definitely a hub of Bend activities, concerts and festivals.  Find local shops as well as national brand names.  Stay, shop, dine, or explore the river and a unique trail system, catch a concert, hang out in the park, visit art galleries, or watch a movie. The Old Mill is modern Bend!

The Old Ironworks Arts District  Located between The Old Mill and Downtown, The Old Ironworks Arts District is home to over 30 independent artists with studios in Armature, Cindercone Clay Center, The Workhouse, and Stuart's of Bend. Anchored by The Sparrow Bakery, this niche of historical buildings is where shoppers can truly find local art, craft, clothing, jewelry, pottery, pastries, and great coffee! The Old Ironworks also hosts Last Saturday each month to celebrate local music art and food, each Last Saturday from 6-10pm.

Downtown Bend has great restaurants, beautiful local shops and art galleries. Check out the first Friday Art Walk.  Every first Friday of the month the downtown shops, restaurants and galleries host an evening of wine, appetizers and art.    Definitely worth checking out.

Cascade Village, a new shopping center located to the north along hwy 97, offers a large Oregon-based Sporting Goods store, Petsmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and the always interesting World Market. There are also several restaurants in this pleasant outdoor setting.

The Bend River Promenade offers traditional indoor shopping and is anchored by Macy's, Kohl's, Sears and TJMaxx.

For great bargains, visit the Bend Factory Stores on the south end of town.

Located on the east side of Bend along Highway 20, the   Forum Shopping Center boasts a Costco, Barnes and Noble, Old Navy, Safeway, Wild Oats and more, as well as several good local restaurants.

And don't forget - there is no sales tax in Oregon!  Happy shopping :-)
