Myrtle Beach is served by the Myrtle Beach International Airport, located just outside of town on Route 17.  This small airport of one terminal offers service on a few major airlines.  Seven national car rental companies do business here.  Taxis are available outside of the terminal.  Many local hotels provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.

There is now public transportation by public bus on the Coast RTA bus route 10 "Airport Connector." See the Coast RTA website for times and routes. Fares are $1.50 or less.

Amtrak does not provide rail service to Myrtle Beach.  Greyhound does provide bus service at its local station.

Route 17 and Route 501 are the main roads into town.  Visitors driving from Charleston will follow Route 17 north for a little over an hour.  Charlotte and Savannah are each about 5 hours away by car, and Atlanta is about 8 hours to the west.
