There are many breakfast and brunch options in Nashville, ranging from greasy spoon style dives to foodie heavens.

Many locals go out of their way to point visitors to the Pancake Pantry, located along 21st Ave. in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood near Vanderbilt. The line can be intimidating on weekend mornings, but it moves very quickly and the food is worth the wait. Across the street from Pancake Pantry and with several other locations throughout the city, Provence Breads and Cafe serves fresh breads and pastries. Starbucks has several locations along West End Ave., however young and hip locals can be found congregating at locally run coffee shops like Bongo Java, the Frothy Monkey, or Portland Brew.  The Cracker Barrelis a chain restaurant based out of Middle Tennessee, with locations along many interstate exits. They are best known for southern-style food and the kitschy "Country Store" attached to each location. They serve breakfast all day.

The great brunch locations in Nashville typically offer larger spreads and more refined menus. These include standouts Marche Artisian Foods, Ellendale's, the Loveless Cafe,  Copper Kettle, and Monell's.
